Robert M. Tocker practices in the areas of Affordable Housing and Community Development Law; transactions utilizing the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit, New Markets Tax Credit, Historic Tax Credit and other tax-driven incentives; not-for-profit/tax exempt organization law.
Prior to joining Hirschen Singer & Epstein LLP, Mr. Tocker was an associate with Cannon Heyman & Weiss, LLP where he represented real estate developers, joint venture partners, and tax credit investors in connection with the financing, acquisition and development of mixed-use and multi-family affordable residential development properties. He has also held positions with the Buffalo Fiscal Stability Authority, a New York State public authority created to oversee the financial operations of the City of Buffalo, its school district and covered organizations and was a graduate fellow and revenue analyst with the New York State Senate Finance Committee.
Mr. Tocker is admitted to practice in New York, Connecticut and the District of Columbia and received his law degree from the University at Buffalo School of Law with a concentration in finance transactions and was an articles editor of the Buffalo Law Review.
